What is it ?
CALT is an app that modernizes the way citizens discover cultural events.
It is based on a recommendation algorithm that helps you discover cultural events around your city using your context. It also endorses social participation through its social media features that let you find friends who are interested. It is meant to blend modern interface visuals with a healthier approach on social media platforms.

What CALT tries to solve is the problem of clutter during searching for cultural events to go, by collecting all events in one place and feeding you the ones most suitable.
AI features help smaller businesses to create events easily and fast and promote their activities by creating local events. It also helps the management of events on the backend side by analyzing text and posters through LLMs.
My role & work
My role in the team is to lead product development & design. I created the visual identity of the app, along with all the mockup designs. We went through several iterations that combined features from viral social platforms such as Instagram, Tinder and ended up in a design that seems both familiar to use and easy on the eye, without overstimulating the user. The design and simulation was done in Figma, with additional tools used such as Photoshop, Illustrator for some graphical assets.
I then went on to develop the prototype using Flutter which is a cross-platform mobile framework that allowed us to implement our idea faster. Also, I am actively engaged with more aspects than the development of the interface, such as the development of the business plan and the design of the core technologies such as the recommendation algorithm, the backend structure and the ai features that power the data entry.
Below is the visual part of my work regarding the prototype of the app and its branding
