NTUA Photography Club

NTUA Photography Club is a team created, for bringing university students (and not only) closer to photography and the digital arts. Creativity cultivation is often not addressed in very technical academic environments, resulting in engineering minds with lack of aesthetic cultivation and creative thinking. The Photography Club is accompanied by a photography studio available for participants to use, in order to practice and experiment. Activities include seminars from professional photographers, workshops for technical and theoretical aspects of photography, visits to external studios and creative spaces, excursions and photography exhibition curation just to name the most common.

Founded the organization alongside other 2 friends/students in 2019, during my first year at the university. After that, I helped establish it as a more known cultural club inside and outside the campus. Up until now, my main work was in multiple fields, structuring the organizing team and activities, doing lectures, help build and maintain the studio and of course in the creative side, I did a lot of graphics for the big events and the branding of the team, as well as I led the curation of the photography exhibitions that took place at the end of the year and exhibited the students’s work. I couldn’t have made such progress on my own, so I give credit to my passionate team, with whom we built a studio from scratch, acquire funding for buying equipment through parties and university help and building a network with some of the most famous photographers in Athens.

Below, you can see mainly the graphical work and pictures from our latest exhibition.
